513/2 – New Highway Code and Minor Regulation

This edition of the New Highway Code and Minor Regulation , in its handy pocket-sized format, comes out updated to the Reform L. 25 November 2024, n. 177 ( Interventions in the field of road safety and delegation to the Government for the revision of the Highway Code ). The reform, long awaited, provides for the issuing of new rules aimed at promoting greater road safety , with the aim of reducing road mortality to a minimum as requested by the European Commission.

Law 177/2024 introduces , among other things, new provisions regarding: driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, use of cell phones while driving, abandonment of pets on the street, electric bicycles and scooters, and speed cameras, providing for a general increase in penalties.

The work is completed by the Table of Points attached to Legislative Decree 9/2002 which provides for the deduction of points following infringement of the highway code, and by the EU model driving licence .
