Compendium of Penitentiary Law and Criminal Enforcement 2025

The Compendium of Penitentiary Law and Criminal Enforcement, Neldiritto Editore 2025, is divided into four parts: the first contains a reconstruction of the national sanctioning system and the execution phase of the sentence; the second focuses on the sources and penitentiary legislation; the third is dedicated to the penitentiary system, with particular attention to the organs, the Administration, the personnel, the institutions, the regime and the penitentiary treatment; finally, the fourth examines the juvenile penitentiary system. The Work takes into account the most important regulatory innovations, including: Law 23 January 2025, n. 4, of conversion of Legislative Decree 29 November 2024, n. 178 (so-called Justice Decree); Presidential Decree 13 November 2024, n. 217, containing regulations for access, training and career progression of doctors of the Penitentiary Police Corps; L.8 August 2024, n. 112, of conversion of the Legislative Decree of 4 July 2024, n. 92 (so-called Prison Decree), which intervened, among other things, on the subject of prison construction, harsh prison regime and early release. The Volume also acknowledges the so-called Security Bill, approved by the Chamber of Deputies on 18 September 2024, containing provisions on public safety, protection of personnel in service, victims of usury and prison system. Numerous ideas drawn from the most significant jurisprudential debate. The Work is completed by the analytical index.
