The “ I Compendi Superiori ” series was created to complement the highly appreciated and well-established “ Mani Superiori ” with more concise and compact volumes. The Series is specifically designed for all those who are preparing for the written tests of the competition for the judiciary and the main public competitions . The basic idea is to ensure - with slim and synthetic but punctually complete volumes - a solid preparation , with an exhaustive treatment not only of the institutes but also of the related doctrinal and jurisprudential elaborations and theses , reported in a schematic way.

The Compendiums are characterized by:

  • clarity in expression, simple but at the same time attentive to formal elegance;
  • completeness of the treatment , combined with an effective expository synthesis;
  • schematic illustration "by points" of the main theses that emerged on the most controversial and debated issues ;
  • careful selection of the most significant jurisprudence.

The volume is completed by a substantial analytical-alphabetical index , specifically structured to allow for easy and quick research of the institutions and problems related to them.

To facilitate preparation, after the treatment of the institutes, tracks are indicated that have been developed taking into account the most recent debate and, therefore, with a high probability of being competitive . The volume is completed by a substantial analytical-alphabetical index , useful for researching the institutes and problems.

In this twelfth edition , the Superior Compendium of Criminal Law , Special Part , has been profoundly updated. As usual, the edition has been updated first and foremost to reflect the most important legislative changes that have occurred, including those regarding: the repeal of the crime of abuse of office and the new crime of illicit influence peddling ( Law no. 114 of 9 August 2024, known as the Nordio Law ); the new crime of misappropriation of money and other movable property ( Law no. 112 of 8 August 2024, converting Legislative Decree no. 92 of 4 July 2024, known as the Prison Decree ); failure to pay VAT (Legislative Decree no. 87 of 14 June 2024). Among the numerous new developments in case law examined, we would like to highlight in particular those relating to: assisted suicide ( Constitutional Court, 18 July 2024, no. 135 ); successor profiles of the crime of false accounting ( Criminal Court, Fifth Section, 19 June 2024, no. 37264 ); subjective element of unintentional homicide ( Criminal Court, Second Section, 2 May 2024, no. 23926 ); “minor” robbery ( Criminal Court, 13 May 2024, no. 86 ); improper fraudulent bankruptcy ( Criminal Court, Fourth Section, 3 April 2024, no. 19207 ); digital identity and computer fraud ( Criminal Court, Second Section, 13 March 2024, no. 13559 ); relationships between the crimes of illicit influence peddling and false pretences ( Criminal Court, United Section, 29 February 2024, no. 19357 ); violation of family assistance obligations ( Criminal Court, VI Section, 8 February 2024, no. 14025 ); narcotics and destination of “dealing” ( Criminal Court, IV Section, 1 February 2024, no. 14690); mitigating circumstance of the contribution of minimal importance, pursuant to art. 609- octies , paragraph 4, of the Criminal Code ( Criminal Court, IV Section, 24 January 2024, no. 10649 ); undue compensation ( Criminal Court, 23 January 2024, no. 2779 ); procedural regime for intentional personal injury after the Cartabia reform ( Cass.
