After a rather troubled process, the new long-awaited Reform of the Highway Code has been approved, which however, despite the long period dedicated to the preparatory discussion for its enactment, is fragmented and complex, introducing various changes to the Highway Code ranging from the abandonment of animals to cycling mobility, without however offering a clear overall vision. The reform comes into force on 12/14/2024 but many rules postpone their effectiveness to future implementing decrees, demonstrating once again the difficulty of simplifying such a crucial regulatory framework for everyone, professionals and citizens. The text introduces important innovations such as the regulation of scooters and new measures against driving under the influence of drugs , the new accessory clause of the short suspension of the license . The volume, written by experts in the sector, offers an analysis, article by article, of the text of the Reform which is presented in tabular form with a schematic comparison of the rules inserted in their formulation, before and after the entry into force of the law, with evidence of the changes made together with the commentary of the authors of the analysis of the innovations introduced. This first work of commentary is an important operational support that allows you to understand and apply the new rules. The comparative graphics facilitate reading between old and new provisions, contributing to an effective and clear application of the rules, essential to guarantee safety on the roads.
