Concessions and project finance in the new Public Contracts Code

With the publication of the proceedings of this conference, a new Series of studies on public contracts is inaugurated, published by the Giappichelli publishing house, which was conceived as a completion of a training initiative, started a few years ago by the University of Ferrara, which has consolidated over the years. The publication of this first volume is therefore also the occasion to present the Master "Public procurement, prevention of corruption, sustainability and innovation", which, now in its seventh edition, has become inter-university, i.e. a Master of the University of Milan and the University of Ferrara. The basis of this training activity is the idea that the university institution can have an important role in post-graduate training, provided that it is open to comparison with other public and private institutional realities. In this way, the University places itself at the service of other institutions by contributing, with the knowledge it can bring to the field, to the training of those who are called, in particular in the current moment, to manage the complex and challenging phases of digital transformation and ecological transition. These components, together with that of innovation, constitute reference coordinates also in the legislation on public contracts. The Master, in all the editions held so far, has been considered as an opportunity for training and enrichment by those who, regardless of whether or not they have particular legal or economic knowledge, hold professional roles at contracting authorities, which require a certain degree of in-depth knowledge of certain disciplines, and also by those who work in contracting companies and feel the need to acquire new knowledge.
