Systematic Manual of Criminal Law 2024/2025

The Systematic Manual of Criminal Law retains the distinctive features of the Manuals of Civil Law and Administrative Law that make up the series. It is also a work with very well-defined characteristics.

It is systematic , to allow a vision of criminal law organized around the framework of legal concepts. But at the same time it is a flexible work, attentive to the evolution of the subject.

It is exhaustive : it allows the reader to acquire, from a single source, an organic and complete knowledge of the institutions of criminal law, of the resolved questions and of those still open.

It is complete : it addresses all the institutions and areas of criminal law.

It is a work that aims to be educational , rather than informative. And for this reason it is reasoned: it presents a line of thought and a unitary position, without limiting itself to a review of the opinions in the field. It aims to transmit a tradition of doctrine and jurisprudence, proposing to guide the knowledge and interpretation of the criminal law system.

It is a useful tool for acquiring knowledge of the fundamentals of law and the rationale behind each rule that composes it.

It is an updated work, which addresses the most current issues of criminal law (including those related to the health emergency) and the issues currently debated in doctrine and jurisprudence. All the sentences are organically inserted into the systematic argumentative fabric, to allow the reader to develop his own argumentative capacity.

It is a work that allows the acquisition of a method for the analysis of individual crimes : it provides the tools for the hermeneutic activity of the individual incriminating norm.

It is a work that comes from the experience gained by its author in many years of teaching future magistrates, and which aims to transmit, in writing, the value of a method. And for this reason it is intended precisely for today's students, tomorrow's magistrates. It is also a work that, due to its characteristics, constitutes a useful tool for current magistrates, for lawyers, for notaries and for legal scholars .

The new edition is updated to the most recent rulings of the jurisprudence and the latest interventions of the legislator , including the so-called prison decree (dl 4 July 2024, n. 92) and the so-called Nordio reform (l. 9 August 2024, n. 114).
